I'm so obsessed with lists that I have the daily to do list saved and print them out in mass numbers so that I have one for each day...because all of the above mentioned items must be done EACH day in this household (except for washing of sheets that happens once a week). Even though I know this list like the back of my hand I still have to see it and be able to check off my different tasks or (as I mentioned earlier) I walk around in a daze full of confusion and stupidity. On top of my daily to do list I also have weekly lists which are compiled of things that need to be done on a weekly basis rather then daily. And to top it all off I have a monthly list which includes all of the left over things that always seem to get put on a back burner. I need these lists to function. You don't want to see me..or my house if I don't abide by my lists. Straight up disaster.
I'm tired of my current list of to-do's and am in the market to create some newer more fun models of things I need to accomplish. I will still complete my daily/weekly/monthly lists, while adding a more appealing fun list to the bunch. I'm to young to create a bucket list...I don't plan on kicking the bucket anytime soon. So this list doesn't appeal to me. What does appeal to me however is a recipe to do list! Now that's what I'm talking about! This list will include recipes that I've always been to big of a chicken to attempt, recipes that I've stumbled across and think would be good, and recipes that friends and family are wanted me to make. I hope to do a post on each one once I make it and let you know how it turns out so that you my dear sweet readers can make them too! Here we go! My Recipe TO-DO list!
1. Homemade Cinnamon Rolls (not the kind that come out of a can). I have never made bread before without the help of a bread machine or the Pillsbury dough boy so this will be a challenge.
2. Pasta! Like the Italian ladies do on the food network. My mixer has a pasta attachment and it is high time it gets some use.
3. Pound Cake. I personally am NOT a fan. But, my Ma always made pound cakes and would give them away to people. Since I think my Ma is awesome I want to do the same thing. So if you live in the Knoxville area that is a really big chance you may receive a homemade pound cake. If you like in the Franklin area there is a really good chance my Ma is already making you a pound cake at this very moment. She's awesome.
4. Chicken Pot Pie. My husband is a lover of chicken pot pie. That's why it's on the list. For the record I am not a lover of chicken pot pie. But I'll take one for the team.
5. Homemade Salsa. I'm pretty darned excited about this. I'm a picky salsa eater but I'm almost positive I've found a recipe that will suit my taste buds and Allen's.
6. Jelly or Jam. I grew up on homemade jellies and jams so I'm excited to try my hand at this project.
7. Red Velvet Cake. There simply has to be a better version then the box. It is my mission to find it.
8. Burgandy Mushrooms. Pioneer Woman style! This will require me to cook with wine and for a long long long period of time. It's safe to say I'm excited about this.
9. Chicken Scallopine. Do I really need to explain why I want to make this? It's chicken. It's pasta. And it's yum.
10. Ham. Easter dinner is taking place at my house this year and that means I am responsible for making a large meat. Since Ham is what I'm used to at easter ham it shall be! I've never made a large meat before. Never made a turkey...never make a ham. Wish me luck...and those who have to eat it.
This post is a little late. There were several items on this list that I've already made and haven't blogged about so you can look forward to these in the near future.
1. Pig Cake. This is a decked out yellow cake mix recipe that is HOLY COW good.
2. Coca Cola Cake. My mother in laws all time favorite cake.
3. Crab Dip. Super simple, and really good!
The recipe list excites me...the list that includes cleaning toilets DOES NOT.
