Gracie our pooch

We have a dog.  She is a great dog.  Funny, full of attitude, loving, and lazy.  She's awesome.  We've had her for almost a year now and learn more about her personality daily.  I've had bad luck in the dog department.  We have had several over the years and for one reason or another they just didn't work out.  Either they thought that our carpet was grass that needed to be peed on or they thought my flesh and strangers flesh were chew toys they needed to devour.  We've had a dog who had boundless energy that a daily 5 mile walk couldn''t tame, we had dogs who knew of nothing better to do then bark24/7.  You name the annoying quality and our dogs had it.  The blame really shouldn't be placed on the dog however, we are not dog trainers.  We always got puppies, ruined them for life and then had no idea what to do next.  But Gracie is different!  We got her as a 3 year old dog.  She was already trained so there was not an option for us to ruin her raising.  Since I think Gracie is great, you should too!  Allow me to share...

Weight problem?  I think yes!

1. She is a cuddler.  Cuddles on the couch, in the bed, anywhere and everywhere!

2.  She has a weight problem.  She's obese.  We've got her on diet dog food (which she hates and reminds me of daily) and she is getting exercise.  I think it's a thyroid problem.  At least that what I tell myself and I'm fat too.

3.  She alerts us of strangers and then runs and hides under the covers.

4.  She has an attitude.  Very sassy.

5.    Allen says she is backslidden and uses dirty language.

6.  She adores Ethan and tolerates Nick.  Also Ethan loves her and Nick tolerates her.

7.  She refuses to go outside if it is less then 42 degrees outside or raining.

8.  She sleeps at the foot of our bed, unless she is feeling particularly sassy that night then she sleeps on her back with her head on a pillow next to Allen.  She also expects the blankets to be tucked in under her front paws.

9.  She has 1 squeaky toy that she is obsessed with.  Any other toys she could care less about.

10.  Very loyal and add joy and laughter to our  household

11.  She is a Min-Pin.  This breed is referred to as king of the toys, because it is one of the larger "toy" breeds.  That term fits Gracie quite well.

12.  She has several nick names.  Gracie, Grace Face, Goodness Grace, Nancy Grace, Amazing Grace, and Goodness GRACE-ous.

It took some trials and errors to get such a great dog, but we are happy we've found her!
