Tomorrow!!

So I have so much to blog about!  I need to share our Halloween weekend festivities with you, some other little random blogs, and an awesome new recipe....BUT I CAN'T!  Why you ask?  Because tomorrow Allen and I make a promise to the state of Tennessee, to God, and to Ethan that we will be his forever parents.  All of that seems much more important then the other blogs I thought about sharing.  Don't be sad my followers (do I even have 1 yet?) I will get to the others but it will have to wait for all the excitement to die down some. 

Allen pointed out something tonight and I thought "wow how cool is that?!."  Today is Ethan's 500th day with us.  Tomorrow will be his 501st day with us, also his adoption day!  I like little details such as that.  Ethan came to us on Friday June 19th, 2009.  On the following Sunday after a HUGE ordeal getting him to sleep I remember looking at his little face and having a peace that he would always be with us.  It's only happened once and only with Ethan.  Throughout these 500 days we have been told to pack his bags he would definitly be leaving by the end of the week, we have been told he would NEVER become adoptable, and we have been told that if he ever did become adoptable we SHOULD NOT adopt him, he would be to much to take care of.   Well he has never left, we ARE adopting him, and its the best decision of our lives. 

Ethan teaches me new things everyday, I am positive I learn more from him then he could ever learn from me.  I beam with joy just looking at him, I am so proud.  All day today he has gone around saying "o mommy I gonna be a "pwuu-witt" (aka Pruitt) tomorrow!"  We have explained it as best we know how.  I really think he understands as best that he can. 

So tomorrow at 8:30 we will be joined by our families as we do the things to make Ethan legally ours.  But I knew he was my son that Sunday night in the wee hours of the morning.  We have had kids come and go, and we will continue to expierience that.  But through it all Ethan stays.
