It's our aniversary! So todays thankfulness blog is dedicated to my husband. In May of 2007 Allen asked me to be his wife in the middle of the gulf of mexico. Several months later on November 17th, 2007 I married my best friend. It has been a wild ride full of ups and downs, smiles and frowns! I am so proud to be Mrs. Allen Pruitt.
I am Thankful for Allen because....
- He loves me, the real me. The me that I don't want anyone else to see. The good me, and the bad me.
- He is an amazing father. I love watching him interact with the kids. Our children will grow up under the influence of a Godly man. That is priceless to me.
- He is my helpmate. My constant companion in all things.
- He isn't a quitter. When things get hard he digs his heels in and sees it through, and if I feel like quitting he encourages me to do the same and together we always see it through.
- He is head of our household. He makes Godly decisioins for our family when the un-Godly choice is easier. He values my opinions and choices, which in turn leaves me knowing that the decisions he makes for our family are the right ones. He doesn't rule with an iron fist, but with respect, prayer, and love.
- He makes me laugh. It doesn't matter what kind of day I have had, I can always count on Allen to bring me back to reality and he always does it with lots of laughter.
- He is a great provider. He takes care of our needs financially and emotionally.
- He cares about our marriage. He invests time and energy into making us better, and keeping us who we need to be for our children.
- He shares my heart for hurting children. Not many men would dedicate their lives to raising children who are hard to raise. He is as passionate as I am about offering our home to any and all children who need us.
So as we celebrate 3 years of marriage, I can't help but get excited about the many years we have ahead of us. I love being this amazing mans wife.
Happy anniversary! What beautiful wedding pictures... thanks for sharing so openly about your love & your life! I suppose in my mind, you're still a little girl, because that's how long it's been since I've seen you! But you've grown into an amazing, godly woman & you are such an inspiration to me, and to so many others!
