Little Boys Room

I have issues.

Have I ever told you that?

Well, I do.

Deep issues.

I need a couch to lay on and tell somebody with a PhD all my problems.

Then I need them to wave a magic wand and fix them.

Until, then though I'm praying through my issues.

Slowly, but surely God is moving and helping me deal.

Ever since the baby boys have arrived I have REFUSED to put up cribs in their room.  I've had the resources to provide cribs but cribs seemed permanent.  Pack and Plays didn't seem so permanent.  Until I knew if these babies would be permanent I didn't want cribs in the nursery.  See, I told you I have issues.

Well, we have no idea if these babies are permanent BUT I finally decided to turn the pack and play nursery into a trite and true cutie patootie baby nursery.  It only took me 2 months.

I realize how insane I am.  I'm working on it folks...give me time.

I'm very proud of the results.  I love bargains and with the help of family hand-me-downs, craigslist, and children consignment events we have a wonderful, functioning, baby nursery.

I can't show pictures of our sweet babies but I'll do my best at detailing the nursery without breaking the rules.  I also painted cute wooden name signs...but I can't post pics of them because I can't tell you the boys names.  Rules...bleh!  But just know that they are cute and match the theme perfectly.

The 2 year old LOVES frogs.  He calls them "poggy's".  So in keeping with a poggy theme here is what we've came up with.

This is the 2 year olds toddler bed.  With the BEAUTIFUL quilt my granny made hung on the wall.
Side note:  The "endurance" sign over the door frame will be removed with another word...not sure yet what word that will be.  My creative friend Melissa will have to assist me on that.

This is a better picture of the 2yr olds comfortor set.

I found a complete bedding set at Picky Chicks consignment for 7 bucks (THE COMPLETE SET!)

step 2 frog toy box $45.00

I found a froggy (poggy) toy box on craigslist to hold the bazillions of toys that we have accumulated.  I couldn't take a picture of the actual toy box we purchased because the 2 yr old wouldn't get out of it.  He thinks its a perfect place to sit.
(I found this pic on google...this is not mine.  But this is just like ours.)
In the picture of the toddler bed we had a bucket used for toys...our new poggy toy box has since replaced that.

A lime green area rug...to go along with the froggy theme.  Luckily it also works well with the shades of blue in the babies bedding.

These have yet to make it on the wall...but that will happen tomorrow.  I put it on the to-do list.

Soon, and very soon these will be hung up on the walls.  With the help of a blank canvas and an overhead projector.  Call me Martha Stewart.  On second thought...I'm just a wanna be.  AND I have never been to jail.  We can't forget that detail!

I spared you the picture of our changing table...because I forgot to take a picture of it.  More proof that I need to get my act together.  It's really nice though...as nice as an an item can be with the sole purpose of changing dirty diapers.

So there ya have it.  Our nursery.  Nothing fancy...but better then pack and plays.  One issue conquered, trillions more to go.
