Day 24

Thankfulness Day 24:  Chores.  All of the things I complain about on a daily basis are nothing but blessings.    Being a stay at home mom is the hardest job I have ever worked.  There is always something that needs to be done, and staying caught up on all the chores is a 24/7 task.  But I love every second of it.  So on the days when I don't feel like doing the mountain of chores on my list I need to remember that these chores are by products of my many many blessings.

I love to eat...I'll be thankful for the dishes to wash
I love to wear nice clothes...I'll be thankful when it comes time to wash, dry and put them up.
I love it when my children behave...I will be thankful for the opportunities to discipline them.
I love using the bathroom indoors with running water...I will be thankful when it comes time to maintain them.
I love sitting down as a family and eating dinner...I will prepare the dinner with a thankful heart and hands.
I love crawling into a made bed at night...I will be thankful when I am making the bed in the morning.
I love watching the boys play with their toys...I will be thankful when its time to help put them up.
I love nice clean floors to walk on...I will be thankful when it's time to clean up the messes on the floor.

The list is endless, so today as I look at the chores listed on my to-do list I am thankful for them.
