Day 23

Thankfulness Day 23 goes out to my in-laws!  Not only did I marry an amazing man his family is pretty great too.  A friend of mine has HORRIBLE in-laws.  HORRIBLE.  I'm glad mine aren't horrible.  Marriage is hard enough, I can't imagine having hateful in laws to deal with too.

Let me introduce you to my in-laws.

First we have Allen's mom and dad...aka Kathy and Eddie.  Kathy is super sweet and will drop anything to help ANYONE out.  She is sassy (I like that quality) and sweet.  A perfect combo.  A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She has 2 children Allen and Amy.  Since Ethan acts so much like Allen I have often said that my respect for Allen's parents increases by the day.  Kathy is a girly girl.  She loves all things sparkly, shiny, sequined, shopping, manicures, pedicures, and being pampered.
Then we have Eddie.  Eddie and I aren't satisfied unless we are making digs at each other.  We look for opportunities to aggravate one another.  Eddie likes to hunt, and do outdoor type activities.  He has an amazing tenor voice and directs the choir at church.  These two are awesome people, parents and grandparents.

Now let me introduce you to Mamaw and Pappy...aka Jean and Charles.  This is Eddie's mom and dad.  O. MY. GOODNESS.  I love these two.  Mamaw is your ultimate christian lady.  They are always involved in church activities, and pappy is always on the go.  It makes me tired when I think about how busy they always are.  These two are the real deal.  Genuine, loving, praying, wonderful, grandparents.

Allen's other Grandmother referred to as Granny Michigan (can you guess where she lives?) is Kathy's mom.  She is super sweet too.  She visits a couple times a year.  She loves to meet the new faces our family has to offer.  Gabby stole Granny Michigan's heart and she is constantly asking about her.  Granny M has recently had some health scares.  We are all praying for her speedy recovery, and complete healing.  I can't find a picture of Granny M...I'll keep looking because you need a face to go with a name.

Next is Amy!  Allen's sister.  Amy and Allen share the same birthday...just 3 years apart.  Amy always reminds Allen that she is the best birthday gift he has ever gotten.  Depending on Allen's mood he either agrees or disagrees.  Good ole sibling rivalry at its best!  I enjoy watching Allen and Amy aggravate each other.  I'm an only child so this is a look into a whole new world for me.  Amy and I got to know each other really well when we got to room together on a cruise (the engagement cruise).  We had a blast!  Amy has a daughter Kaydance and another baby girl on the way.  She is married to Tom, her childhood sweetheart.  I love having Kaydance over, she and the boys play really well together. And I get to paint her nails and fix her hair...I really enjoy that.

Well there you have it!  There are a lot of aunts and uncles and other cousins that are great too!  I am so thankful that God allowed me to cross paths with all these wonderful people.  I love calling them family.
