My Kitchen to Yours: Fruit Pizza

I love a recipe that is fun and easy enough to bring the boys into help me.  They love helping out in the kitchen and it works as a wonderful reward system in this house.  Here is a super fun desert recipe.  It is also a recipe you can change to fit the taste buds of your family.  I made this for a friends baby shower and it was a huge success!

The Crust
Purchase a sugar cookie mix and instead of turning it into cookies roll it out into a round pizza pan
(Or if you have kids who like different fruits make each child there own smaller round cookie instead of one large cookie)

The Sauce
1 block of cream cheese (softened)
 1 tub of cool whip
Powdered sugar to taste (depending on how sweet you like it)

Toppings
This is where it gets fun and creative.  Choose whatever fruits your family likes!
Here is what we use:
Strawberries
Kiwi's
Blueberries
Peaches
Pineapple

(tip: don't go with fruits that brown easily like bananas and apples...BUT if you do soak them in lemon juice and water before you top your pizza)

Bake your sugar cookie first, let cool then ice.  Then add your fruits!

Summer is quickly passing so hurry up and make this while fruits are still in season, you won't regret it!
